Qualifications and good practice
I trained and qualified at WPF Therapy, a leading provider of UK counselling and psychotherapy services. I hold the WPF Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Studies from the University of Roehampton. These qualifications are accredited by BACP and UKCP, professional organisations who promote, maintain and uphold the highest standards of ethics and practice throughout the United Kingdom. I work to their professional codes of practice which exist to safeguard the interests of clients and the reputations of practitioners.
I am registered with UKCP and BACP as well as with my graduate professional body, FPC.
I work on the counselling staff and as an Intake Assessor for WPF. I have worked at Charing Cross Hospital and for Breast Cancer Care. I have a particular interest in working with those affected by serious physical illness, whether as patient, carer or family/friend. Also, those affected by life changes at work or at home, whether caused by life stage, illness, redundancy or structural change.
When you are choosing a counsellor, it is advisable to select a professionally registered practitioner, such as myself, who has completed a reputable training and who is experienced in working to professional codes of ethics and practice.
